Located 10km west of Palampur in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh is the Chamunda Devi Temple. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India dedicated to Goddess Shakti who is worshipped here in the form of Chamunda. Constructed in traditional Himachali architecture, this temple lies on the banks of river Baner. The temple walls adorn the scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata.
